Christy Harrison, Peter Sensenig and their family have been in N’Djamena, Chad since 2022. Peter teaches at Faculté de Théologie Evangélique Shalom (Shalom Evangelical University of Chad — FATES). Christy works as a nurse/midwife. They are jointly appointed with Eastern Mennonite Mission.
Flooding in Chad was so serious this year that Christy Harrison, Peter Sensenig and their children had to move out of their home into a guest house in another part of the city. Sensenig was on his way to begin a new semester at FATES, when his four-wheel drive got stuck in the mud. He was prepared to teach a course on Muslim-Christian relations, but on the way, he learned an important lesson about Muslim-Christian relationships.
