Oscar Siwali is the founder and director of SADRA Conflict Transformation (South African Development and Reconstruction Agency), an organization dedicated to building a society that embraces peaceful methods of conflict resolution and building partnership. SADRA provides training for students and communities in peer mediation, as peacekeepers during riots and works to diminish xenophobia. The organization has also played a direct role in South Africa’s national and provincial elections by sending mediation volunteers to potential election "hot spots."
