La Puente Home is seeking a team of two to manage Rainbow’s End Thrift Store in Center, Colorado, an agricultural community of about 2,100 surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. Housing is provided in La Puente Home. A one-year commitment is requested. Proficiency in both Spanish and English is highly desirable.
Rainbow’s End Thrift Store, a La Puente Home program, is a community-operated thrift store that earns revenue through the resale of second-hand goods. The store also provides affordable goods to those in need, employment, employment training, and outreach assistance to community members in crisis. Poverty, unemployment and isolation from other towns and resources make this store an important asset in the community.
Store managers work closely with the Director of Enterprises to manage daily thrift store operations to maximize proceeds, promote La Puente programs, build community partnerships, and reduce waste.
