This placement includes grassroots organizing of food issues and communication with food banks. The participant will work one-to-one with a local community organizer who is working on these issues, at the community garden, at the Family Kitchen soup kitchen, and at a farm. The ideal participant is someone who is interested in hunger ministries across urban and rural settings. The participant is able to work in all aspects of understanding and addressing the larger hunger issue in America and microcosmically in Greater Johnstown.
