The Familienzentrum Bammental is a project that builds relationships in the community with a café, hosting events and provides some children’s programming. You will support the team in diverse daily tasks in the café, of the family center and at events. There is work to be done on the computer and very practical and manual tasks. You will keep the café clean and tidy, assist with the preparation and follow-up of events. Occasionally you will be on duty on a weekend, but you will have days off then during the week.
You are invited to be part of the Mennonite church in Bammental or a church in Heidelberg. There are many opportunities for things to see and do in the surrounding area! Bammental is very close to Heidelberg – one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. There are various options for your free time: For example, you can participate in a local choir, a nearby youth group or become part of a sports club (volleyball, etc.).
Housing is provided, likely in a cozy one-room apartment near the Familienzentrum. This placement provides monthly pocket money of € 302.
Term: One year, starting in September or February
Qualifications: German level A2 or better.
Language: German, language classes can be arranged online or nearby.
