Die Villa Mannheim is a community project involving a café, events, and children & youth ministry to build relationships to reach people in the community with the gospel. You will support the team in diverse daily tasks in the villa and at events. There is work to be done on the computer and also very practical, hands-on tasks. You will keep the villa clean and tidy, assist with the preparation and follow-up of events, also do work in the garden and regularly work on Saturdays and sometimes at weekend events, but you will then have time off during the week.
During your service, you are expected to participate in the Emmaus community in Mannheim, a small group-style church plant. There are many opportunities for things to see and do in the surrounding area! Explore the city itself, museums and parks, other communities and many more excursions, such as swimming in nearby lakes. Housing is provided, likely in a shared apartment near the Villa. This placement provides monthly pocket money of € 302.
Term: One year, starting in September or February
Qualifications: German level A2 or better.
Language: German, language classes can be arranged online or nearby.
