CITA – Comunidad de Instituciones Teológicas Anabautistas

The Community of Anabaptist Theological Institutions (CITA)  serves as a network to encourage and facilitate working together to expand on-line opportunities for leadership development from an Anabaptist perspective in Spanish.

CITA developed from a consultation in November 2016 in Guatemala City. Mennonite Mission Network helped bring everyone to the table, and each theological education program brought their experience and desire to collaborate. The education programs that form CITA:

Seminario Anabautista Latinoamericano (SEMILLA), Anabaptist seminary primarily serving Central America, based in Guatemala City.

Centro de Estudios Anbautistas-SEMILLA (CEA-SEMILLA), program of Mexican churches affiliated with SEMILLA.

Seminario Bíblico Menonita de Colombia (SBMC), seminary of the Iglesia Cristiana Menonita de Colombia

Centro Bíblico Teológico (CBT), program of the Hermanos Menonitas de Cali, Colombia.

Seminario Bíblico Anabautista Hispano (SeBAH)pastoral and leadership education program of Mennonite Education Agency of Mennonite Church USA.

SEMILLA received the administrative responsibility for coordination of CITA, and since 2017 Fernando Pérez and Rebeca González have served as Executive Coordinators. There is an openness to additional members.

CITA partners, together with Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Goshen College Institute for Study of Global Anabaptism and Mennonite Mission Network formed the Biblioteca Digital Anabautista to make Anabaptist study materials available on-line in a free library.
