Shaping Families- Life with One Leg

Josh Sundquist competing in the Paralympics
Josh Sundquist

Josh Sundquist was an average nine-year-old who loved soccer. But when he was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer that resulted in the amputation of his leg, he felt that he could die. Holding on to hope and his faith, Sundquist went on to become a member of the U.S. Paralympics ski team among many other accomplishments. Today he travels the nation as a motivational speaker and has worked to inspire others who have lost a limb.

Sundquist, originally from Harrisonburg, Va., is the guest on Shaping Families radio program this week. Shaping Families radio program airs each weekend on 15 local radio stations and online at www.ShapingFamilies.com.

Also featured at the website is a weekly blog by host Burton Buller, a weekly recipe from Shaping Families staff and contributors, a study guide useable by small groups and Sunday school classes and many additional resources.

Shaping Families is produced by Third Way Media through Mennonite Mission Network.
