LCC International University (formerly Lithuania Christian College) was founded in 1991, at the request of the Lithuanian Ministry of Education. Mennonite Board of Missions, a predecessor agency of Mennonite Mission Network, began sending workers to the school in 1995, as teachers and administrators. In addition to their ministry at LCC, Mission Network personnel have related to and have helped provide resources to the wider Christian community in Lithuania and Eastern Europe. Currently serving LCC with Mission Network are Robin Gingerich, who has worked in teaching and administrative capacities for more than two decades, and Katrina Boulton, who will work with LCC’s intensive summer English program in July.

Mission Network received this expression of gratitude from LCC’s development coordinator, Lilija Druktenė, for its gift of $5000:

"LCC International University continues to support Ukrainian refugees and our students affected by war. We are grateful for your help. Thank you for your recent donation!

"As pictured, our president, Marlene Wall, met with the Ukrainian and Russian LCC students who launched the Ukraine Care Initiative. As a response to the war in Ukraine, they established an informational center in Klaipeda, where thousands of Ukrainian refugees can receive information about where they can get help. Our students have also organized peaceful protests, awareness events, Saturday art clubs for young Ukrainian children and fundraised for specific needs in Ukraine. These war-affected students (currently with no home to return to), are finding meaning in supporting others. We are all blessed by their example.

"Thank you for your support and for your prayers. You are part of the global caring community of LCC. May God bless you in all that you do."
