As a specialist for mission education, I am available to engage your church on the biblical, theological, and practical dimensions of God’s mission, from an Anabaptist-Mennonite perspective. My passion for mission flows from my lifelong love of the Bible, and the experience and education that have shaped me.
These include eight years with Mennonite Mission Network as a Bible and theology teacher among African Initiated Churches in South Africa (20062014), and six years with Mission Network in Church Relations (20152022), helping to connect Mennonite Church USA conferences and congregations to God’s global mission. Since 2020, I have served as the Project Manager for Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary’s (AMBS) Global Leadership Collaborative, a partnership between AMBS, Mission Network, and Mennonite World Conference (MWC) to increase access to Anabaptist leadership education across the globe. I am also a Core Adjunct Professor at AMBS. I hold a Ph.D. in theology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Pietermaritzburg, South Africa (2021); an M.Div. with a concentration in mission and evangelism from AMBS (2005); and a B.A. in history from Bethel College, North Newton, Kansas (2001).
I am married to Anna, and we are the parents of four sons, Isaac, Moses, Levi, and Jesse. May the God of peace equip you with everything good for doing his will! (Heb 13:2021)
