My background in human resources mainly comes from working within faith-based non-profit organizations in the medical field, social services sector and the government. My most essential core values are: Integrity, because I hope to inspire trust through personal leadership; wisdom, as I strive for excellence in all that I say and do, by integrating stewardship; and reverence, because I want to have compassion and respect for the dignity and diversity of every human being I come in contact with.
I have been married for 20 years, and we have two beautiful kids. One of my favorite activities is gardening. I named my garden "The Salsa Garden," because I always look forward to making fresh salsa from it. Some other activities I enjoy are hanging out with my family, exploring new local areas and reading.
