Daniel Galmes (right) presents his table group’s work and vision with Sara Wiegner, who facilitated conversations and group sharing during the partnership meeting among VEMZO (Visión Evangelística y Misionera de la Zona Oeste—Evangelistic Missionary Vision for the Western Zone) and Atlantic Coast Conference representatives in Pennsylvania, October 3-12. The church is in the middle of the drawing that summarizes the table group’s discussion. The emanating lines illustrate a call to be “a blessing for the world” outside the walls of the church. Group members also called for more long-term exchanges of people with diverse ministries.
Galmes represented VEMZO while Wiegner represented Akron (Pa.) Mennonite Church within ACC during the partnership gathering.
The partnership among Atlantic Coast Conference and VEMZO congregations, which began in 2005, values person-to-person and church-to-church relationships. Activities which grow out of these relationships include grants for ministry, visits, shared practices and spiritual bonds, prayer and regular gatherings in Pennsylvania and in Argentina.
