Unruh joins Mission Network

ELKHART, Ind. (Mennonite Mission Network)—Mennonite Mission Network announces the appointment of Graham Unruh as a half-time assistant for recruitment and the Mission Network service programs SOOP and Youth Venture. He began Jan. 4 and is based out of the Newton, Kan., office.

Unruh graduated in 2011 from Bethel College in North Newton, Kan., with a degree in business administration.

“I am very excited about working with Mennonite Mission Network because I feel that my work will be meaningful, which was very important to me in finding a job,” Unruh said.

Unruh’s first experience with Mission Network came last summer when he helped lead servant projects at the Mennonite Church USA Convention in Pittsburgh. Arloa Bontrager, SOOP  and Youth Venture  director, was in charge of the projects and said Unruh immediately made a positive impression on her.

“By the end of that week, I was impressed with the way Graham had stepped up to be a leader in such a positive and gracious way,” Bontrager said.

Unruh is assistant swim coach for the Newton Swim Club. He is also a motorcycle enthusiast; plays classical guitar, bass and banjo; and is a rock climber. He is a member of First Mennonite Church in Newton.
