At Brighton Park Neighborhood Council, you get the opportunity to help primarily the Hispanic community of the Lower West Side of Chicago with everything that has to do with immigration. You will be part of a program that helps provide assistance in regards to the process of citizenship, provide education, and get to know the community through outreach events. Outreach includes making phone calls, emailing, and talking in person with community members. One of the main goals is to be able to converse with community members and identify what are their needs and point them to resources. In addition to immigration work, you are also supporting others within the organization through helping with the community events they are hosting and educating yourself through workshops, trainings, and conversations with others at BPNC.
