Camp Ithiel, near Orlando, operates year-round with mostly weekend groups in the winter, and week-long sleep-away camps in the summer. Interests and talents of volunteers can be matched with a special project or task. Projects range from fix-it jobs, light construction, trimming shrubs and limbs, tree cutting and trimming, painting, spring-cleaning and housekeeping to assisting in the kitchen or office. New Covenant Church of the Brethren worships on site. The camp provides WiFi, electricity, water, and sewer hook-ups for RVs in a wooded, secluded part of the grounds. Nearby is the bathhouse with laundry, restrooms, showers, and covered picnic shelter. WiFi and computers are also available in the camp office. There is also one RV available for SOOP use with a double bed, bath and kitchen. The grounds include a lake, pool, chapel and activity field. When the camp is hosting groups for which meals are provided, all volunteers are welcome at each meal at no cost. When groups provide their own meals, or when the camp kitchen is closed, volunteers are on their own.
