​SERVE Nazareth/Nazareth Village recreates daily life as Jesus would have experienced it in 1st century Palestine. People from all over the world come to Nazareth Village to get a feel for what life was like for Jesus and to put themselves imaginatively in that life. This makes the parables and teachings of Jesus come alive!

Volunteers with Nazareth Village would be part of the daily operations, whether it would be taking on the role of a character in a biblical narrative, doing light maintainence or serving meals to visitors. Other service options range from medical electives at the SERVE Nazareth hospital to joining the chaplaincy team. They will find placements according to your skills and interests.

Volunteering with SERVE will give you the opportunity to experience the town of Jesus, meet its people, learn their language, join and experience local churches, and explore the rich and varied culture of Israel. 

Not only do you get to be part of making history come alive, you will also be surrounded by staff and other volunteers for regular devotions, prayer and mutual support. 

Volunteering with SERVE Nazareth is fully flexible and individually tailored to your schedule, your interests and skills and is suitable for all adult ages.

Your time in Nazareth could range from two weeks to a whole year. People can volunteer as individuals or as couples. SERVE also regularly accommodates church groups who visit the Holy Land and join SERVE for a week as part of their itinerary.

Accommodation and food is included in the cost and will be provided on the hospital campus. While you organize your own travel to Israel, SERVE can assist with travel arrangements to Nazareth. Their team will be on hand to give advice and guidance from the day you apply and all the way through your stay with them.

As part of your time with SERVE they make sure you can explore the country and organize regular trips to places like Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee, Haifa and many other biblical sites.
