The Center trains African leaders in the fields of Christian leadership, communication and media in French-speaking Africa.
Currently Mission Network provides a grant which has been used toward facilities and program development.
Centre Evangélique de Formation en Communication pour l’Afrique CEFCA (The Evangelical Center for Training in Communication for Africa) began in 1985 in response to the need for trained African leaders in the field of communications. Thirty-six African denominations and missions from six different countries joined together to organize this specialized school. Workers for Mennonite Board of Missions, a Mission Network predecessor, were instrumental in the beginnings of the center by providing both teaching and library materials. Mennonite personnel also served with CEFCA for many years.
