JMCCC is a conference of 15 congregations centered in the southern island of Kyushu.
The Japan Mennonite Christian Church Conference is made up of 15 churches mostly on the island of Kyushu but also including a church in Hiroshima and one in Kobe, both located on the main island of Honshu. A Christian bookstore in Miyazaki City and Aoidake Bible Camp are managed by the conference.
Mission workers were first sent to Kyushu, Japan, in 1951 through the Commission on Overseas Mission of the General Conference Mennonite Church. Japan Mennonite Christian Church Conference began in 1965 with six congregations. Mission workers continued to plant new churches. By 2000 all the missionaries had either moved or retired. In November 2004, Gerald and Rie Neufeld, Canada Witness workers, moved to Miyazaki with ministry in three area churches, but terminated their service in 2008.
