What I learned from the African church Edited by: James Krabill Description: On August 30, 2005, 22 students from Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) embarked on a semester-long adventure to become acquainted with the lives, histories and cultures of people beyond North American shores. Their travels focused primarily on France and Benin, with three additional side trips to Switzerland, Togo and Ghana. In this issue of Missio Dei, the students share what they learned from their experience as guests within homes in each country, worshipers in a wide range of church settings and observers of their host culture.

The Patagonia Story: Congregations in Argetina and Illinois Link "Arm-in-Arm" for Mission By: Delbert Erb and Linda Shelly Description: The vision, call and energy for the Patagonia Mission Project emerged within the Mennonite Church in Argentina as far back as the mid-1990s. As the Mennonite churches in the Patagonia region began their work, they sought partners. In response to this challenge was born Arm in Arm—a cluster of people from Illinois congregations who came together to form a partnership for ministry with the Iglesia Evangélica Menonita Argentina and in collaboration with Mennonite Mission Network.
