Service Opportunities: Camp Courageous is a year-round recreational and respite care facility for persons with disabilities of all
ages and capabilities. Volunteers who would like to work directly with campers can serve as counselors for
a weekend of respite care, a week of regular camp, or a long-term assignment for a season or a year.
Others can work in maintenance, office help, housekeeping, or kitchen work.
Lodging: Room and board is provided. Those volunteering for more than two months receive a stipend and restricted medical coverage. Volunteers must be interested in working with the disabled and have a love for nature.
Service Opportunities:Crooked Creek Christian Camp is a Mennonite camp in Southeast Iowa that
would like volunteers for wide variety of duties. This could include:
mowing lawn, dishwasher/kitchen assistant, light housekeeping, assisting
with summer camp activities, host adult groups, occasional office work
and/or light maintenance, fix-it type jobs.
Lodging: Housing in an air-conditioned cabin with bath, kitchenette, double bed,
phone or RV site with water and electric hook-up only.
