Service Opportunities: SOOP Illinois Menn Heritage Center.
This six-acre campus includes a library, museum, archives, barn and agricultural museum, grandfather house,
prairie grass and native trees. Open April through October, ongoing tasks for volunteers are to assist
with filing, labeling records and photographs, working with preservation care of artifacts, mailings,
genealogical research, data entry to computer programs and a wide variety of maintenance tasks including
cleaning, painting and grounds work.
Lodging: RV site or housing can also be arranged
with local church members. It is preferred that volunteers have their own car.
