Special Event - U.S.
Please pray that the presence of Mennonite Mission
Network staff, displays and workshops at the Mennonite
Church USA Convention in Columbus this week will
prepare participants to be missional in their communities
and beyond.

Teaching - Lithuania
Robin Gingerich, Lithuania, requests prayer for
students and teachers at LCC International University
this summer. University classes continue, special programs
gear up and the campus hosts events for the community.

Teaching - Ivory Coast
Pray for mission associate Martine Audeoud,
Ivory Coast, as she gives the graduation speech at the
Alliance Theological Seminary in Abidjan. Next week
she teaches a full course at the Evangelical Institute in
Communications.

Translation - Burkina Faso
Pray for discernment and vision for Julia Smucker,
Burkina Faso, as she transitions from learning the
Toussian language to developing a writing system and
later doing translation.

Teaching and Translation - France
Pray for Linda Oyer, Paris, who is working this month on two
writing projects in French: implications of an Anabaptist hermeneutics
for women’s ministry in the church; and translation of the Anabaptist
Prayer Book, “Take our Moments and Our Days.”

Teaching - U.S.
Students at the new Instituto Bíblico Anabautista study centers
in the Bronx and Manhattan, New York, conclude their first course
“Introduction to the Bible.” Pray they will be encouraged to continue
their theological studies.

Translation - Burkina Faso
Pray for Anne Garber Kompaoré as she guides the team beginning
this month on the Mooré translation of the major prophets for an
important Bible revision. Mooré language is spoken by half of Burkina
Faso’s population.

Teaching - Israel
With the spectacular growth of the Messianic Jewish movement in
Israel, leaders are needed for the many new congregations. Pray that God
will call new students for the fall semester at Israel College of the Bible.

Ministry with Youth - Arabian Peninsula
Jeannie and Wayne Larson request prayer that the lives of 30-50
Gulf young people will be changed as they participate in four media
workshops in the Arabian Peninsula this month. Pray for an ongoing
relationship with the eight young people selected for a nine-month
mentoring track.

Ministry with Children and Youth - Bolivia
Margrit Kipfer Barrón, Bolivia, reports that their first winter
vacation Bible school will be held this month in churches in Santa Cruz
during the school vacation. Pray for children and youth as they study
“Jesus transforms lives.”

Ministry with Children - Nepal
With the arrival of the monsoon season, mission workers in Nepal
request prayer that the local church will have resources to put a roof
over the church’s expanded childcare facility.

Ministry with Youth - Australia
Moriah Hurst leads the youth ministries at Canberra Baptist
Church, Australia. Pray for a smooth transition from a focus on
programs to a more relational model of Christian formation.

Ministry with Children and Youth - Ukraine
Mary Raber requests prayer for seminary students in Ukraine who
are spending their vacation working with children and youth at churchsponsored
camps all across the country.

Church Ministry - Paraguay
Pray that God’s kingdom will be extended through the gathering of
Anabaptists from around the world at the Mennonite World Conference
Assembly held in Asunción, Paraguay, today through Sunday.

Ministry - Senegal
Mennonite Mission Network workers Jim and Paula Hanes, and
children Amanda and Aaron, plan to visit Senegal this month. Pray that
they will affirm the local followers of Jesus.

Church Ministry - North America
Radical Journey participants have returned to their home
congregations after their 10-month cross-cultural experience. Pray that
congregations will embrace the creativity and diversity they offer back
into the life of the church.

Church Ministry - Germany
Please pray for Daniel and Nicole Hershberger as they travel to
German Mennonite churches to preach and present the work of the
Military Counseling Network in Germany.

Church Ministry - Thailand
Pray for Pat and Rad Houmphan as they prepare for North
American ministry. Remember the local church leaders who continue to
serve at Living Water Church in Borabu, Thailand.

Pray for love, courage and protection for a number of new believers in
Nepal who are reaching out to their family members with the good news.

Join mission workers in the Middle East in praying that churches in
that region will reflect the light and love of Jesus Christ.

Mission Network’s program human resources staff is grateful for the
increased number of applicants. Pray for guidance as program positions
are filled and there are fewer placement options available.

U.S. ministries staff members complete their tenure with Mission
Network effective July 31. Pray that they will continue ministries of hope
to marginalized people and empower congregations to be missional in
their communities.

Community Service - International
Pray for Youth Venture teams serving in England, Northern Ireland,
South Africa, and the U.S., while exploring God at work in another
culture. Pray for team leaders who provide spiritual and discipleship
direction.

Community Service - Nepal
Pray that a worker in Nepal will find the time to work
on the revision of her nutrition book to benefit the lives of the
Nepali people.

Community Service - U.S.
Pray for urban ministry practitioners and pastors as
they assist people in their communities to cope with job loss
and lack of financial resources to meet basic needs. Ask God
to give these people the resources for personal and family
stability.

Please pray for strength and endurance for the DOOR
(Discovering Opportunities for Outreach and Reflection) city
directors and support staff as they complete their summer
program.

Community Service - Mongolia
Drew Robinson is involved in prison ministry through
teaching English classes in Darhan, Mongolia. Pray that the
60-loaf bread oven donated to the prison will help in practical
ways and give opportunity to more freely share the good news.

Community Service - Senegal
Join with a mission worker in Senegal in thanks to God
for the special program that offered surgery to cleft palate
patients at Bartimaeus Hospital in Thies. God’s love was
extended to these little ones who often are neglected and
forgotten.

Community Service - U.S.
Pray for SOOP volunteers who support the ministry at
Menno-Hof, Indiana, in presenting the Anabaptist faith story
to visitors from around the world and all walks of life.

Community Service - Hong Kong
Pray for wisdom for Mey Aruan and Nora Iwarat at
Cheung Chau Christian Center, Hong Kong, as they minister
to Indonesian and Filipino domestic workers dealing with
personal and family difficulties.

Community Service - U.S.
Pray for Mennonite Voluntary Service participants who
are ending their assignments and will be discerning next steps
in their journey of following Christ in everyday life.
