Furthering God's love and mission for the world
Being a peacemaker does not require any special abilities, just will and desire. This identity and intentionality of making peace with God and others permeates every part of life: home, work, schools, communities, and nations. A peacemaker seeks shalom with all people and all of creation.
Participate in God's mission
Join us in serving God’s mission by praying, giving or serving others.
Current projects include providing sanctuary to vulnerable immigrants on several continents, peacebuilding training in Africa, India and Latin America; and sharing human respect and dignity through workshops in church planting and women in leadership.
I applied to colleges and was accepted into several great opportunities that I don’t think I would have if it wasn’t for Service Adventure. I was able to get scholarships because it’s about offering something different. How do you make your college application stand out? You do a year of voluntary service!

Doing MVS, specifically in Alamosa, exposed me to a new set of issues that I really hadn’t thought about before. From water use and agriculture, to rural homelessness. Each geographical area has their own issues. In order to truly be a part of a community, you need to learn about that community. And, in that learning, you’ll learn both the beautiful things and the areas where there’s work being done. That’s one thing I will take away.
